Another Building Demolished as Cumberland Square Redevelopment Surges Forward

September 3, 2015 – The building previously occupied by Cumberland Dental and Gibson’s Fish & Chips at Cumberland Square Mall was demolished yesterday as the redevelopment of the site continues to move forward.

In conjunction with the demolition of Safeway last November, yesterday’s events opened up the site’s entire northwest flank, laying the groundwork for upcoming developments.

The entire Boston Pizza infrastructure came down on August 6, in favour of a modern CRU, the first phase of the Cumberland Square redevelopment.

3550 Taylor Street has recently undergone a major redevelopment adding two new tenants to a revamped 4,400 square foot space.

The project started in early August and was completed by R&D Construction.  The plans called for demising one large space into two with a newly created common area .  Our newest tenants, College Mobile Inc. and Western Building Centres are now moved in and enjoying the modernized spaces.

At the same time the exterior of the property underwent an upgrade  as well with new sod and landscaping and a  completely new roof, installed by local contractors Ireland Roofing.
